As we sit on the precipice of the next Microsoft Dynamics GP release (scheduled for October), we figured it was time to again check in with our Great Plains folks!
Payroll Tax Updates
The first thing we should note is the updated payroll tax tables. Late July saw Round 4 updates in Idaho, Kansas, New York, and Yonkers. Just last week, Ohio was updated in Round 5 with some slight modifications. The brackets stayed the same, but small percentage changes were made.
Please note: if you’re on Dynamics GP 2016, mainstream support ended on 7/13/2021. Therefore, you won’t get Rounds 4 and 5 (or anything moving forward). Be sure to reach out to your CAM to upgrade.
1099-NEC
Year-end is fast approaching, and Terry Heley from Microsoft is warning that we MAY have another 1099-NEC form change. We’ll know more about this in September, but keep an eye out.
Bridge to the Cloud
In case you missed our blog post about the new promotion from Microsoft, I figured we could highlight it here. The Bridge to the Cloud promo allows Dynamics GP users to try out Business Central (the latest and greatest product from Microsoft – all in the cloud!) with some sweet discounts and offers.
That’s it for now, GP friends! As always, subscribe to our blog, if you haven’t yet. We’ll be staying on top of the Dynamics news and posting any neat tips we come across.
