On the precipice of the next release (be sure to register for your local roadshow here), we’ve decided to take a look back at the mobile app enhancements that users have access to. Acumatica continues to get even better, and here are just a few reasons why.
Acumatica Version 2018 R1
Enhanced Addition of Dashboards and Generic Inquires to the Mobile Application
In previous versions of Acumatica ERP, it took a lot of effort to add dashboards and generic inquires to the sitemap of the mobile application. In version 2018 R1, users who are design a dashboard or generic inquiry in Acumatica ERP can also make the system expose this dashboard or generic inquiry in the mobile application.
To support this functionality, the Expose to Mobile checkbox has been added to the Dashboards and Generic Inquiry forms, as shown in the following screenshots.
When the Expose to Mobile checkbox is selected for a dashboard or generic inquiry in a particular Acumatica ERP instance, the system automatically adds this dashboard or generic inquiry to the sitemap of the mobile application connected to this instance.

The layout of the Expense Receipts and Expense Claims application forms has been optimized for quick entry of documents.

Mobile Push Notifications for Business Process Monitoring
In Acumatica 2018 R2, receiving notifications about business events has been extended further. Now you can configure a mobile push notification about business events for users with the Acumatica ERP mobile application installed.
New Subscriber Type
The new Mobile Notification subscriber type has been added to the Create Subscriber menu on the Subscribers tab of the Business Events form (see the following screenshot). A user selects this type to configure a push notification sent to a mobile device.
After the user selects the new subscriber type, the system navigates to the Mobile Notifications form, where the user can configure details for the push notification. These details include the users who will receive the notification and the record should be open after a user taps the notification.
Once the push notification has been configured, the specified users will receive a push notification when the configured conditions are met.
Receipt of Push Notifications
A user will receive a push notification, as demonstrated in the following screenshot, if push notifications are allowed for the Acumatica ERP mobile application.
If the user taps the notification, the system redirects the user to the record that triggered the notification.
Improved Mobile App Customization
In Acumatica 2018 R2, the developer can include the customization of the Acumatica mobile application in a customization project.
With this improvement, the customization of the Acumatica mobile application can be used for any needed tenants of an Acumatica instance. Also, the administrator does not need access to the application server to modify the mobile app files stored on the sever. Publication of the customization project with all necessary changes is performed from the application website.
When a customization project that includes customization to the mobile application is published in a tenant of an Acumatica ERP instance, the changes to the mobile app are saved to the database for the corresponding tenant. When the developer unpublishes from the tenant the customization project that has changes to the mobile application, the changes are removed from the database for this tenant.

Additional Mobile App Enhancements
In the Acumatica Mobile App, the mobile forms related to the Customer Management functionality (Contacts, Business Accounts, Opportunities, Cases, Task, Event, Email Activity, and Activity) have been significantly redesigned. Headers with the most viewed information have been added. Location of fields on the mobile forms have been optimized for better usability. A new mobile form for Sales Quotes has been added.
